Stop Your Anxiety Attacks !!

Time and time again the question about which is the “best anxiety
medication
” appears to be the focus of much discussion.

Here are the three anti anxiety medications I think are the best in terms of
ease of acquiring the drug (of course, through prescription from a
professional doctor or counselor), the side effects and impact to
the patient.

Now, — PLEASE –

This is just in my humble opinion–I am not a Doctor. What I look for
is best possible outcome with the least amount of side effects.

Here are my choices without much added information on my part.

Let’s review three anxiety meds from the following SSRIs, Beta
Blockers and Benzodiazepines family.

These three family of anxiolytics have been shown to be useful for anxiety
disorder help.

1) SSRI’s
2) Beta Blockers
3) Benzodiazepines

1) Anxiety Med: SSRI’s

A very brief description is to say that SSRI’s helps maintain levels of Serotonin,
a chemical released by the brain which has shown to be rather low in patients
with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and OCD.

My choice of SSRI’s is: Paxil CR Controlled-Release.

Some possible side effects: back pain; blurred vision; constipation; decreased
sexual desire or ability; diarrhea; dizziness; drowsiness; dry mouth; gas;
increased sweating; increased urination; loss of appetite; nausea; nervousness;
numbness or tingling of the skin; sinus inflammation; stomach pain or upset;
etc.

2) Anxiety Med: Beta Blockers

Beta Blockers are used for controlling the physical symptoms of anxiety and panic,
such as rapid heartbeat and shaking.

Beta Blockers are considered to have fewer side effects than any
other anxiety meds.

My choice of Beta Blocker is Inderal.

Some possible Side Effects: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation,
stomach cramps; decreased sex drive, impotence, sleep problems
(insomnia); or tired feeling.

3) Anxiety Med: Clonazepam

Benzodiazepines is used for immediate relief of panic. If a panic attack is
occurring, this anxiety medication is used to relax muscles, and calm you down.

My choice of Benzodiazepines is: Serax.

Serax works by affecting the brain to reduce nervous tension.

Some of the Side effects include clumsiness, dizziness, fatigue,
etc.

My best to you, feel better today and tomorrow.
